Can students use their phones for quizzes?
Yes! PopQuiz.ie is fully mobile-optimized. Students can participate using their smartphones, tablets, or laptops. Our responsive design ensures a seamless experience across all devices, making it easy for students to join quizzes from anywhere.
What if a student loses connection?
Answers are submitted to the server question by question, so a dropped connection doesn't wipe a student's work. The instructor can look up exactly which questions each student answered, so partial attempts can be graded fairly or a retake allowed. Students should avoid refreshing or switching apps mid-quiz — the integrity system treats that as a violation.
Does PopQuiz.ie integrate with my LMS?
PopQuiz.ie exports grades as CSV files ready for your LMS gradebook — including a dedicated Brightspace format, verified against real imports, and a general results format suitable for Moodle and other systems. Direct LTI integration (grades flowing automatically into the gradebook) is on the roadmap for institutional partners.
How do the integrity checks work?
Quizzes use tab- and app-switch detection on a two-strike system (a stern warning first, then lockout), per-student question and answer-order randomization, strict per-question timers backed by server-side checks, and copy/paste/print blocking. Every attempt also records forensic metadata, so instructors get concrete evidence of suspicious activity — including quiz links being shared — rather than a black box.
